PEONY

An ongoing series of prints, loosely inspired by a well known Japanese ghost story The Peony Lantern.

My main practise in screen printing usually involves creating editions of prints, which I often find a challenge.

I began experimenting here working back, almost 'defacing' each print using different methods- paint, ink and mono printing. I like the idea of having a spontaneous element and a constant element in each piece.
